There’s a new comic movie that will hit the cinemas pretty soon and it features A-list actors and actresses such as Majid Michel, Emelia Brobbey, Fred Amugi, Grace Nortey and etc.
Production on the new movie is yet to commence and makers of “Kalybos In China”, KOFAS Media at a press conference held at Holiday Inn, Accra disclosed to the media about their intention to embark on a new movie project.
Speaking to the media, CEO of KOFAS Media, Kofi Asamoah revealed that, the title of the new movie, which will be the second movie to be produced by them is “Amakye & Dede”
Amakye & Dede is a comic movie that tells the story of two childhood friends, who have done everything together while growing up. Now as adults, they both fall in love with the same girl and it becomes and none of them is ready to let go of the girl they love. In order not to break their friendship because of the girl, they both agreed to play their cards and see who the girl would eventually fall in love with and choose.
So who would the girl fall in love with? Amakye or Dede?
The character Amakye is played by Kalybos and Majid Michel plays Dede in the movie. The producer of the movie, mentioned that, the movie would be a fun and an entertaining one to watch because the story itself is fascinating. Our very own Ahoufe Patri would play the character, Majid and Kalybos would be fighting over to win her love.
The movie is going to be shot on a $26,000 budget within 12 days when production commences and is expected to be in Cinemas in March.
Amakye and Dede will also feature Kumawood actor, Apostle John Prah, Ghana’s Fashionista, KKD and some other new faces.
