Malawi was thrown into a state of ecstasy after they beat Uganda to qualify for the African Cup Of The Nations (AFCON) scheduled for the next year, 2022.
This was the first time Malawi has qualified for a major competition as far as football is concerned since 2010.
President of Malawi, Lazarus Chakwera could not help himself but join his people who hit the streets and jubilated over their qualification.
A video clip gives an account of the President marching, jumping and singing his lungs out as citizens trooped to the street merrily to celebrate their AFCON 2022 qualification, a tournament to be hosted in Cameroon.
In the capital city of Lilongwe, there was mad celebration and despite the presence of the CoronaVirus, there were huge gatherings as the nation sang and danced all night long.
