Social Media is in a state of chaos with the recent happenings in Nigeria.
Majority of Nigerians have taken to the streets to protest against police brutality and the injustice most Nigerian citizens are facing.
This protest has literally caused a complete shutdown of businesses and roads in Nigeria forcing most of them to flee to neighboring countries. Some Ghanaian celebrities are also using their social media platforms to support Nigerians in their fight for justice and tranquility in the judicial system.
One of such people is aced Broadcast Journalist Nana Aba Anamoah who has called out the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo for remaining silence over the issue despite being the ECOWAS Chairman.
In a post sighted by GhBase.com, Nana Aba has vehemently spoken against those who were quick to protest against racial discrimination happening in the United States, yet are silent over what is happening in our neighboring country Nigeria.
Some people in Kumasi even went as far as organising a funeral for George Floyd who was unjustly killed by some racist police men in America. The President of Ghana had even Tweeted about Gorge Floyd sending his condolences to his family.
This action outraged the award winning Journalist who called such people to order and asked them to stop being hypocrites and support their African countries.
She also quizzed what the ECOWAS is doing about what is happening in Nigeria and if they have plans to restore the peace that used to be in Nigeria.
When you pick your phone and go on social media, you are likely to see videos and pictures of innocent citizens being killed by some policemen. This among many other reason is why Nana Aba is calling on the President to take an action.
