It was a fun discussion at the studios of UTV with show host Nana Ama Mcbrown as Ghana’s favorite stars trooped in to share their thoughts on issues going on in the movie Industry.
The weekly Entertainment show took a different turn on Saturday 3rd October 2020, when Majid Michel, Jackie Appiah, John Dumelo, Nadia Buari, Yvonne Nelson and Van Vicker became guests for the show.
During the discussion of how much they earned from their movies, all the actors who have worked with Nigeria movie Producers agreed that they paid more compared to Ghanaian movie producers.
According to Jackie Appiah for instance, she was paid four times more what she usually received from Ghanaian Producers.
She explained that Ghanaian Producers were a little stingy when it comes to paying them their worth because they always found mischievous means to deduct money from their salaries.
They pleaded with the leaders in the country to support the movie Industry by investing in it financially and also creating more cinemas to ensure Ghanaian movies are shown.
They also charged the Government to use their influence to get contracts that will push the movie Industry to become a top notch like the Nigeria movie Industry.
