Nkoranza murder: Youth block Ejura-Nkoranza road to demand justice form IGP [Photos]

The youth of Nkoranza have blocked the main road leading to Ejura as they protest the murder of a 28-year-old native of the town identified as Albert Donkor.

Albert Donkor, according to an earlier report by his mother, Comfort Gyameah on April 25, 2022, pointed out that around 2:30 am the police stormed their house and broke into her son’s room to arrest him on robbery suspicion.

Following his arrest, the family took it upon themselves to trace the whereabouts of Albert Donkor but all their efforts proved futile.

Comfort Gyameah in a video interview narrated that when she initially roamed every police station in Techiman, Kintampo, Sunyani, and Ejura in search of her son, she was told the boy isn’t there.

On May 13, 2022, this same police who couldn’t tell the family the whereabouts of Albert showed up at the family house to inform them of their son’s death and according to their narration died in a shootout.

Demanding justice from the IGP, the people of Nkoranza have hit the streets, burning tires and blocking roads to protest the murder of 28-year-old boy Albert Donkor.

The family and the town folks have given the Inspector General of Police an ultimatum of 48 hours to produce the officer who took the life of Albert Donkor.
