The cliche that Africans especially Ghanaians take delight in celebrating the dead more than the living is still on as it has become evident after the demise of Priscila Opoku Kwarteng.
The late Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng affectionately known as Ebony was the talk of the nation for the past two years basically as a result of wardrobe malfunction. This is because, majority of Ghanaians failed to understand the professional requirement of the budding female artiste.
But all of a sudden, those who used to chastise Ebony from all angles over her choice of dressing have placed an indefinite injunction on their actions. It’s in the light of this that Asamoah Gyan, Black Stars Skipper, has lashed out at Ghanaians for loving to celebrate the dead more than the living.
Asamoah Gyan simply can’t think far as to why those who used to vehemently criticize the talented musician have choose to cease fire. To the skipper, he’s currently not in Ghana yet he’s privy to all the happenings in his motherland – Ghana.
Gyan in an Instagram post noted how Ebony’s songs are being played everywhere now that she’s no more. He goes on to ask Ghanaians to go and talk to her about her dress styles. An excerpt from the video reads:
“Although we are not in Ghana, we are Ghanaians and sometimes we hear what is going on. Now the person is gone. Go and talk about her state of dressing,” he said in a video he posted on his Instagram page.
