Photos: World’s Tallest Man Meets World’s Shortest Woman

And the world’s tallest man and the shortest woman in the world family met, somewhere in Egypt and they took photos in front of the famous pyramids.

The tallest man in the world, Sultan Kosen, 35, from Turkey and is 8ft 1in tall and the shortest woman in the world, Jyoti Amge, from India who is just 2 feet tall have finally met in Egypt and their fares were paid by the Egyptian Tourism Promotion board in a bid to boost visitor numbers to Cairo’s ancient monuments.

Sultan Kosen, from Turkey, 34, the tallest man on earth according to the Guinness World Records, with a height of 246.5 cm ( 8 feet 1 inch), stands on the Great Pyramid as Jyoti Amge, from India, 24, who holds the Guinness title for world’s shortest woman with 62.8 cm (2 ft 06) tall, waves at the historic site of Giza Pyramids in Cairo, Egypt,.

Both are Guinness record holders – and Kosen is one of only ten people in history measured at over eight feet tall.

Kosen has a condition called pituitary gigantism where the brain produces large quantities of growth hormone. Amge, who was born in Nagpur, Maharashtra in 1993, is an actress, and has a growth abnormality called achondroplasia.
