As the election day draws closer, politicians are hyper about their fortunes at the polls and are bent on roaming every nook and cranny with well-crafted sugar-coated messages to lure voters to vote in their favour.
In so doing, the top rivals will see each other as enemies as they do everything humanly possible to be ahead of the competition.
The minds and emotions of the electorates will be their playing field as they manoeuvre ways to sell their messages, make outrageous promises and entice voters to forget all the hardship and go stand in the rain or sun to vote to give or secure their employments.
The shenanigans of the election year are still very glaring and alive. From the sharing of goodies to the cosmetic show of concern exemplified through benevolent acts by these political actors are all part of the political game of gaining power.
These, media personality Nana Aba Anamoah believes, are all intelligent semantics been unleashed on Ghanaians to turn their focus from the important issues to a primary focus on voting for or against who they like or dislike.
Nana Aba Anamoah has charged his followers and all concerned Ghanaians to be vigilant and not kowtow to the sweet words and deeds of politicians in this season since everything they do is motivated by a singular aim in mind; that is to win power and leave the electorates to their fates.
In a tweet, Nana Aba Anamoah said: Ugly ugly politics. Shameless beings. They’ll sink so low to get our votes and abandon us later. Don’t fall for it. shine your eyes!!
Are politicians actually shameless beings? Maybe not all. Politics of reasoning is what Nana Aba Anamoah is preaching.
