President Akufo-Addo Named The  Political Leader Of The Year 2020 By Top Magazine; This Is Why

President Akufo-Addo has been named the Political leader Of The Year 2020 by the African Leadership Magazine.

The African Leadership Magazine is a renowned Pan African political magazine which focuses on continent-exclusive contents.

Garnering 54.39 per cent of the total poll votes, President Akufo-Addo beats competition from Tanzania’s President John Mugufuli, South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa and Senegal’s President Macky Sall who had 43.83 per cent, 1.01 per cent and 0.77 per cent respectively.

At the same time, the Director-General of the World Health Organization Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus who has been at the forefront of the global fight against Coronavirus was named the African of the Year.

Why was President Akufo-Addo named the Political Leader of the Year 2020? Well, he won the poll after he was regarded to have demonstrated an admirable level of leadership in Ghana and across the continent as far as the fight against COVID-19 is concerned.
