"Prez Akufo-Addo's 'Free SHS' policy forced me to go back to school" – Elizabeth Yamoah, 57-year-old BECE graduate

The birth of the Free Senior High School policy by the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has given Elizabeth Yamaoh a place to berth her dream of furthering her education to the foreseeable top.

According to the 57-year-old Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) graduate, she is forever indebted to President Akufo-Addo for rolling out a policy that caters for students throughout the Senior High School (SHS) level.

Elizabeth Yamoah became a celebrity following her decision to sit for the just-ended BECE which was of great surprise to many.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with  Ohemaa Woyeje on Y’Adwuma Nie on Angel FM, she said she had a belief that her dreams will come to pass upon hearing the president’s promise of FREE SHS for all.

“I could not have gotten to where I am now but with the help of Nana Addo’s free education, I have been able to catch up and still want to continue with my education,”she said.

Elizabeth Yamoah, who endured all the mockery and leg-pulling from her classmates who qualified to be her grandchildren said she is ready to be an ambassador for government’s FREE SHS policy.
