Veteran rapper, Ex-Doe has waded into the ’40 years’ comment blurted out by Stonebwoy at the 2019 MTN 4Syte Music Video Awards.
Ex-Doe, whose real name is Richard Kwasi Siaw Afrofi said Stonebwoy saying it would take some 40 years before any artist can replicate what Shatta Wale, Sarkodie and himself have done in the entertainment industry is spot on.
In response, Ex-Doe explained to BrownGH TV that it’s because the industry is not viable for up and coming artists that’s why Stonebwoy made such a comment.
He said: “Stonebwoy hit the nail right on the head with his pronouncement. Regardless of the backlash from the public, Stonebwoy is so right. You know, the Ghana music industry kill talents rather than to promote.
Ex-Doe continued;
“Stonebwoy knows the industry, they don’t build artistes to stay. They kill [sic] artistes, and that’s why the likes of Shatta wale, Sarkodie and Stonebwoy would stay on top for very longtime. There is no support for the upcoming acts.”
