The General Overseer of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, has been charged again by Circuit Court 1 in Accra.

Rev Owusu-Bempah, one Mensah Ofori, and Berchie pleaded not guilty to four new charges, including Offensive Conduct Conducive to a Breach of the Peace and Threatening Death.

On Tuesday, October 5, the prosecution, led by Detective Chief Inspector Dennis Terkpetey, withdrew the previous charge sheet, which had charged six people.

The most recent charge focuses on a threat to kill Patricia Oduro Koranteng, also known as Nana Agradaa.

After their lawyers, led by Gary Nomako Marfo, moved for bail, they were granted bail by the court presided over by Afia Owusua Appiah.

The prosecution did not object to the grant of bail, except that the bail terms should be structured in such a way that the accused persons are forced to appear in court.

While Owusu-Bempah was granted $100,000 bail on his recognizance, Michael Ofori and Berchie were granted $100,000 with two sureties to be justified.

All accused persons must surrender their passports to the court’s registrar and may only leave the country with the express permission of the court.

Aside from the bail conditions, they must report to the police every two weeks until the case is resolved.

The three discharged individuals – Michael Boateng, Frederick Ohene, and Nathaniel Agyekum – are scheduled to appear in Circuit Court 2 in connection with the officers’ injuries.

The Case Management Conference has been rescheduled for November 10, 2021.
