Today is Father’s Day, a special day aimed at hounouring fathers all over the world. Father’s Day was inaugurated in the United States in the early 20th century to complement Mother’s Day in celebrating fathers, fathering, and fatherhood.
This special day was founded in Spokane, Washington at the YMCA in 1910 by Sonora Smart Dodd, who was born in Arkansas. Its first celebration was in the Spokane YMCA on June 19, 1910.
As many people around send loads of messages to their father’s and men who have played vital roles in their lives, Nigerian actor Richard Mofe Damijo(RMD), is dishing out profound words on social media to mark the day.
Sharing a photo of himself on Instagram, the proud father of five stated some of the vices in society which is making parenting difficult in 2019. He however encouraged all fathers who are doing their best to raise their kids in the best way and keep them out of trouble.
