National Democratic Congress (NDC) communications officer, Sammy Gyamfi has applauded Parliament for rejecting the 2022 budget statement and economic policy of the government.

The rejection of the budget came up after the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin was forced to suspend the house sitting for five minutes after the majority side walked out of Parliament in protest because NDC Asiedu Nketia was present in the house.

They insisted that Asiedu Nketia who was sitting at the public gallery of the house should be walked out of the house just like how the speaker told the Marshall to walk out some non-MPs of the chamber.

The standoff however led to chaos on the floor of the house then the majority side walked out which the lopsided house later reconvened for house business should continue which led to the budget being rejected.
