This would definitely go into the history books. Sarkodie features Samini on a track for the first time, on “Love Rocks”
We knew a day like this was going to come, but we never thought it was going to be now. You would remember Samini had gotten furious with Sarkodie sometime back because he (sarkodie) mentioned his name on his track “Borga” . In case, you have forgotten that line, here is it “Bisa Sonni Bali, adee a, Yoggi Doggi de ye Samini“. Now after that song, Samini also released a song titled “Pink Sheet” sometime last year july 2013 demanding Sarkodie to come explain himself by what he meant in his song “Borga”. Here is an except from the song
“Yenko bisa Sonni Balli ade3 Yoogi Doogi de ye Samini, Sarkodie where you dey, step inna de the witness box
and defend your lyrics before mi boss shot ya…”
During that time, the NDC, Npp court case was reigning then, so the title of the song was influenced by the popular term at that time, Pink Sheet.
Social media and several blogs were inundated with allegations, that there could be some beef between the two but Sarkodie in an interview disclosed that he had no beef with Samini, and that he had soo much respect for Samini and would never diss him, and that Samini only wanted him to come explain what he had said in his Borga song. Samini also tweeted that he had no beef with him, and only needed explanations from him(Sarkodie). In that same interview, Sarkodie told the host, Blak Rasta, that he admired Samini and loves his stage craft but not a fan of his music.
Well of course, there is noo beef between the two artistes, it was just a stunt Sarkodie pulled that was why he mentioned Samini’s name and Samini also did the same. Ghbase.com exclusively told you earlier on this year that, there was going to be a collaboration between the two artistes,(read it here) when Samini went to the BET this year to support Sarkodie. He was the only musician who went there to support him and that alone tells, you, they indeed had no beef, and even if there was one, they had settled it.
Our predicition has indeed come to pass, and for the first time, we get to hear a song by Sarkodie featuring Samini.
