When Big Akwes let the cat out of the bag, those who knew they were guilty of the accusation, had reason to be angry with him for asserting that. Like i said the other time in my post what Big Akwes said was very true, it’s not anything new, i have seen producers demanding sex from both wannabe actresses or those who are already in it. The thing is that, some of these ladies do not have a problem with it, because they are desperate to become celebrities, so they spread their legs open for them. It’s not only in the movie industry that something like this happens, but the whole entertainment industry, someone wants to stick their ding dong in a wet hole before giving you an opportunity.
Can we always blame these producers? Not always as some of these girls themselves, give in to you without you even asking for it, and as corrupt we are as men, well, we also fall victims. If someone wants to use their natural resource to get what they want, i can care less, but then we need to question where our morality is.
You remember i told you that One Kumawood actress Ellen White was angry at Big Akwes for asserting producers sleep with them before giving them roles in movies, because she claimed no producer had asked her for sex in return for a role before and that she believes Big Akwes was not in a good state of mind when he made those revelations on television. Well i told you we would be witnessing more drama about this whole Big Akwes thing and yes, 2009 Ghana’s most Beautiful Winner, Lamisi Sam Awinongya has come out to state that, indeed some producers bonk actresses before giving them roles and she had to even shatter her own dreams of being a full time actress just because some producers wanted to have a taste of what were between her legs. The beauty queen who was sad for poor Big Akwes that he had to be banned for 2 years for telling the truth, posted this on her facebook wall
Had to write this about Big Akwes because of what I see in my news feed about his 2 years sanction for saying the directors/producers in the movie industry bonk actresses before giving them roles..I feel sorry for him because I know if it was the big actors who said this, it wouldn’t have gone far like his own..I hear he apologised and even this said video came out 4 months ago and now that the TV station is burnt,who will speak for him? Women are exposed to sexual harassment at most places of work and the movie industry is no exception…but I can boldly say that yes it happens there since someone tried to use that on me and that killed my enthusiasm on going full time into movies. We have wonderful directors and producers too,example Vincent Agbelengor Akiti ifeanyi okwem, Kobi Rana, Pascal etc and we have the shameless ones killing talents of young better actresses but because they have decided not to play ball, no role is given to them so they sit back and watch others come on TV reading script and calling it acting. Let’s stop the hypocrisy for once and let this man free.to those holding this issue like world cup, what is your fear, like he said “if you say is not true,let’s use antoa” why not go to him so you go there? At least that will bring faster results and we will get to see the rot in the industry but if is just to pull him him off the scene because he exposed something all fear to say, just remember that “WOULD YOU HAVE DONE IT IF HE WAS YOUR BROTHER”????……..He who the cup fits, let him wear it…Thank you….
