Kwesi Kyei Darkwah although granted bail, was in court today, 22nd January 2015 to hear what the court had to say in regards to his case. KKD was accused by one Orleans Thompson for raping her sometime in December.
Since the girl had dropped the charges pressed against him, we had thought, that will be the end of the case, but the state has insisted on prosecuting him for rape. In court today, it was mentioned that the state prosecutors are still going to proceed with the trial and requested for one week to enable them to serve KKD with a bill of indictment and summary of evidence for trial to commence. KKD will re-appear before court again on January, 29th 2015.
