CEO of Slip Entertainment and former Mentor judge, Mark Okraku Mantey, has criticized musicians for always trying to get girls naked in their videos. He explained that it isn’t right to allow the girls go naked while the men are fully clothed.
In an interview on Hitz FM, he was asked what he thinks about explicit content on tv. “Most of our videos, you will see the woman half naked and the man fully dressed. It sends a signal that the men are covering themselves and making the women to be girls, and it’s not cool. Sarkodie’s Lucky Video for example, Sarkodie was full dressed-all white but the ladies in Bikini exposing their parts, why?”, he responded
Mark Okraku Mantey is known as a perfectionist. He usually expects things to be flawless, especially in the music industry.
“We must build our culture. We need to have a system that checks how young people consume sexual content “, he concluded
Unfortunately, musicians will rather have no girl in their video than a girl who’s fully dressed. They claim to be doing it because it attracts viewers/fans but the fans/viewers also criticize such videos.
