Ghanaians took to social media when the Black Stars were drawn against Uruguay in the Qatar 2022 World Cup draw.

In Group H, Otto Addo’s side faces the South Americans, Portugal, and South Korea.

Following the draw, some Ghanaians resorted to Twitter to express their feelings over facing Uruguay.

The Black Stars were on the brink of being the first African team to reach the last four before falling to Uruguay on penalties.

Ghana earned a penalty in the last seconds of extra time when Luis Suarez used his hand to stop Dominic Adiyiah’s goal-bound header.

Despite Suarez’s dismissal and Ghana’s penalty, Asamoah Gyan missed from the spot.

Uruguay defeated Ghana 4-2 on penalties to get to the World Cup semi-final.
