Abraham Amaliba, member of the communications team of the petitioner in the 2020 Election Petition which is ongoing at the Supreme Court has suggested that the day first respondent, Jean Mensa will ascend into the witness box should be declared a public holiday.

Speaking on Akoma FM’s GhanaAkoma on Thursday, February 4, 2021, Amaliba said, “the day Jean Mensa, the first respondent, will mount the witness box will, Ghana will be very interesting and I can’t wait to see my lead counsel Tsatsu Tsikata interrogating Jean Mensa in the witness box during a cross-examination”.

John Dramani Mahama and his legal team seem to be eagerly waiting Jean Mensa’s cross-examination as it might be the peak of the court hearing.

“The first respondent who happened to be EC chair Jean Adukwei Mensa is the peak of the whole litigation, so we expect that Tsatsu Tsikata will explore lots of angles that will trigger many revelations surrounding the court petition,” the legal team for the petitioner explained.

“So, we are really waiting for all applications to be filed and cleared to make way for the day Tsatsu will face Jean Mensa in the witness box,” they added.
