Twene Jonas, after all, is not in this fight alone and even after being cursed by Bechem chiefs, it is clear that Ghanaians support his actions and are very much unperturbed.
This is how come Osei Bonsu has jumped to his defence with the unequivocal statement that the youth will not be intimidated by curses nor will they succumb to political and traditional tactics to silence them.
Osei Bonsu has intimated that the chiefs who have decided against the will of the people to sell lands to “galamsey” operators and sit aloof for the environment and water bodies to be destroyed deserve a slap in the face.
According to him, these “senseless” leaders have pursued their selfish independent money-making agenda and have left the youth to their fate thus it is time the young, wild and free speak truth to power and not be intimidated.
Earlier, it was reported that some angry Bechem Chiefs have hurled curses on Twene Jonas on the back of the social media attack he launched on Asantehene and other related chiefs for destroying the environment through the activities of galamsey.
Well, Osei Bonsu has come strong and it is clear the fight for accountability which is being demanded collectively by the youth from their leaders will not go away or die down anytime soon.
He vents his frustrations in the video below:
