A report filed by ModernGhana reveals that a Ghanaian man named Ernest Kofi Yeboah has taken his life shortly after he killed his girlfriend identified as Akua Mavis.
The sad event reportedly took place in Sefwi Bosomoiso in the Western Northern Region on Sunday, July 17.
A resident told ModernGhana that Ernest and Mavis were known lovers in the town. Mavis was alleged to have asked Yeboah in June this year to assist her with some money to enable her to start a small business.
According to reports gathered, Yeboah gave his girlfriend monies totalling ₵115,000 to start a mobile money business. Soon after she got what she wanted, she started behaving funny and called for separation.
An angry Ernest Kofi Yeboah who felt cheated and betrayed allegedly asked Mavis to accompany him to a nearby town to visit a friend which she obliged.
Reports indicated that on their way back home at 7.30 pm in the evening, Yeboah took her to an uncompleted building and killed her.
The report from ModerGhana further said after killing his girlfriend, Yeboah called his friend on phone to inform the crime he has committed and his decision to end his own life which he eventually did.
The youth of the town found their lifeless body next to each other.
