On September 12, 1993, Kelsea Ballerini was born in Mascot, Tennessee, and she was raised in Knoxville. When Ballerini was three years old, she began taking dance instruction.
As she became older, she joined the choirs at her church and her school. When she was younger, she attended Knoxville’s Central High School as well as Franklin’s Centennial High School.
Before leaving Lipscomb University in Nashville after two years to pursue a career in music, Ballerini was a student there for her higher education.
