Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, Member of Parliament for Klottey Korley Constituency and first daughter of the late former President Jerry John Rawlings says she has not ruled out running for President of Ghana.
Speaking in an interview with BBC about her late father, she did not reject the idea of her running for the office President. Instead, she said it was up to the people of Ghana to decide. She also made it known that she was always ready to serve Ghana and Africa at large in whatever capacity she could.
This means she will be following in her mother, Nana Kondau Agyeman-Rawlings footsteps, in running for president someday. Other women have run for the post as well. However, many believe Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings will one day be Ghana’s first ever female president.
This will be a historic achievement in Ghana’s politics as no woman has ever attained the position of President or Vice-President in the country.
